If I Want to Get to Heaven - Alaska
by Miss Poppy Dixon, June 2000

Many businesses surreptitiously slip religious messages into their products. If you've been to an "In-N-Out Burger" you may have noticed the Bible verses printed on the bottom of your drink cup, or french fry package. Or if you've flown on Alaska Airlines recently you may have found a small Bible tract under your meal. This sample reads,

I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to your name
O most high.
Psalm 9:2
while another reads,
I will praise God's name in song
and glorify Him with thanksgiving
Psalm 69:30

We at Adult Christianity think the mixing of business and religion is a dubious practise which could potentially offend non-believing customers. But if Alaska Airlines must provide these religious messages to their passengers we'd like to suggest the following substitution, especially with this year's tragic crash into the Pacific Ocean in mind.

If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 139:9,10
