End Times for McCain/Hagee |
May 23, 2008 |
McCain rejected Pastor John Hagee's endorsement Thursday, after Hagee's remarks about Hitler being God's tool to get the Jews to move to move to Israel.
McCain also rejected the endorsement of Pastor Rod Parsley due to his comments about Islam being an inherently violent religion.
McCain added that he was different from Obama as he hadn't attended Hagee's church for 20 years and that Hagee was not his spiritual mentor.
Who WILL be McCain's spiritual leader? Who WILL he trot our to satiate the God crowd? They weren't all happy about his renunciation of Hagee.
Jeffrey Weiss, a blog writer in the religion section of the Dallas News wrote,
Let me get this straight: John McCain is dumping a Christian pastor for suggesting that the sovereignty of the Lord operated over Hitler and the Holocaust and that God was able to make even that somehow work for good? And he maybe even suggested what kind of good God might have brought out of that evil? Seriously? That's what pushes John Hagee out of McCain's putative big tent?
So God's powerful enough to make lemonade out of Hitler's lemons, but not powerful enough to prevent Hitler to laying waste to millions of lives. Jesus Christ, let's go back to Zeus!
James Dobson'
Family Research Council e-blasted an action update today titled the "Not So Straight Talk Express," criticizing John McCain on his friendly discussion with Ellen DeGeneres over gay marriage. The FRC "hoped he would seize the opportunity to speak openly about the threats posed by same-sex 'marriage.'"
What were those again?
Hagee's apocalyptic
oeuvre , above right: Final Dawn, From Daniel to Doomsday, Day of Deception, Beginning of the End, God's Two-Minute Warning, The Revelation of Truth
Eee-Gads!
Wait, wait. *This* is what pushed John McCain to dump John Hagee?
