Adult Christianity was founded in the Fall of 1995. Its original mission described Adult Christianity as "an antidote to the Christian Right." The mission included "defending the rights of the un-BornAgain, challenging destructive dogmas and agendas with humor and critiquing the prophet motive."
Times have changed since that chilly Fall in 95 and so has Adult Christianity. Due to the current American political climate we've expanded our mission to include news from around the world with a focus on American corporate sprawl, more ominously referred to as "imperialism" or "colonialism." We've made this change because we believe it is the nature of popular American Christianity to exploit the planet and the people on it and this spiritual defect has infected both our government (e.g., George Bush, John Ashcroft, etc.) and our businesses (e.g., Kenneth Laye, John Rigas, etc.). It has, therefore, become impossible to critique socially conservative and politically aggressive Christianity without examining its effect on the rest of the world and our environment. As we detail these circumstances and events we will include actions you can take to change the situation and urge you to join us and other global citizens in making this planet livable for all.
