Pastor Billy James Hargis is Dead
Tulsa OK
Billy James Hargis, Christian author and evangelist, has died at the age of 79 in Tulsa of unspecified causes. Hargis was a charismatic preacher at one time vying for the spotlight with heavyweights Oral Roberts and Billy Graham. An avid anti-communist Hargis' career dwindled as fears of socialism declined. He wrote "Communist America - Must It Be?", "The Total Lie," "Facts About Communism and Churches, and "The Real Extremists." In the mid-70s Hargis sponsored a choir called "The All American Kids." He was accused of taking some of the boys to his farm, talking them into sex. He later blamed his indiscretions on "liberal subversion" and "the forces of Satan out to silence anti-communism."

Please get your facts straight. Some of the information you have posted here (namely the references to the "boys") is incorrect and misleading. If you're so quick to annouce that my grandfather is dead...do so with some respect and check your facts.
