Another Christian Excuse to go to the Adult Porn Convention*

Is it a lying when Christians pretend to be something other than they are? A number of businesses and web sites are posing as secular, or liberal Christian, enterprises to bait the curious and then pull the proverbial switcheroo. Such is the nature of xxxchurch.com, which bills itself as "the #1 Christian Porn Site." XXXChurch is a collaboration of Craig Gross and Mike Foster who, it seems, could find no other Biblically sanctioned reason to attend AdultEx, the Las Vegas adult industry convention each year. In case you're thinking they might be cool, they've also collaborated with James Dobson, of the uber-Christian megacorp "Focus on the Family," on the book Every Man's Battle : Winning the War on Sexual Temptation One Victory at a Time (which coincidentaly resurrects Ted Bundy for an interview).

The AdultEx convention is where they met James DiGiorgio of Sinamotion Pictures, a porn director responsible for "Anal Fixation," "Bobbi's BJ And Anal Slutnews," "California Reamers," "Hard To Swallow 5," and "This Butt's For You." After meeting DiGiorgio was commissioned by Gross and Foster to create a TV spot for their ministry featuring "Pete, the porno puppet" who warns children to stay away from Dad's magazines.

"We both get flak," Gross told the LA Times. "We've got some people who really don't get it. They think he's the enemy and we're the good people and we shouldn't have anything to do with that. That's what Jesus faced."

Well, not exactly. Jesus didn't collaborate with the director of "Lesbian Talent Scouts" and "Sperm Of The Moment." And other than being single and hairy they don't seem to have much in common with Jesus.
